Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), Owensboro Catholic still had to take the loss.
Evansville Memorial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tucker Tornatta out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Luke Ellspermann was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with two steals.
Owensboro Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Evansville Memorial, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Owensboro Catholic will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Breckinridge County at 6:00 p.m. Breckinridge County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 524 points over their last seven contests. As for Evansville Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Evansville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Evansville Central: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Evansville Memorial has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
