Discovery Canyon had lost three straight on the road, but  on Monday they dropped down to 6-15 to make it four. They fell just short of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of  11-10.  Discovery Canyon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Bella Holcomb, who  went 4-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs.  Lia Marrufo also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.

 Looking ahead, Discovery Canyon will square off against Lewis-Palmer at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will face off against Palmer Ridge at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Red-Tailed Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 10  runs per game this season.
