On Friday, The Gretna Dragons faced the Lincoln East Spartans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Gretna enjoyed a cozy 31-14 win over Lincoln East. The victory was familiar territory for Gretna who now have three in a row.
Isaiah Weber was a one-man wrecking crew for Gretna as he rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Scheef also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.
Gretna has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Lincoln East, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Gretna will look to defend their home field on Friday against Omaha North at 7:00 p.m. Omaha North is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Lincoln East, they will square off against Lincoln Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Southeast is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
