Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maricopa). They came out on top against the Del Sol Jaguars by a score of 65-54 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Del Sol's loss came despite strong showings from JJ Ortega and Mike Garcia. Ortega went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points and seven rebounds, while Garcia shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Junior Melena, who posted seven points and eight boards.

Maricopa now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Del Sol, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coming up, Maricopa and Nordhoff will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Del Sol, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Providence at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
