There's no place like home for the St. Pius X Sartans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Miyamura on Friday as St. Pius X made off with a 65-42 win. That's another feather in the cap for St. Pius X, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Miyamura still got an impressive performance from Reika Secatero, who scored 14 points. Secatero scored a full 33.3% of Miyamura's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaytoinette Ross, who scored 7 points.
The win got St. Pius X back to even at 1-1. As for Miyamura, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Pius X will face off against Zuni at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Zuni is ranked 29th, while St. Pius X is ranked 11th). Miyamura won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dulce at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
