The Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins lost against the Collegiate Cougars back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Cape Henry Collegiate was dealt a 49-18 loss at the hands of Collegiate. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cape Henry Collegiate has scored all season.
Collegiate found their leader in underclassman Clare Aman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Aman's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Tull, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Cape Henry Collegiate's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Collegiate, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Cape Henry Collegiate will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bayside at 5:30 p.m. Collegiate won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 5th. Norfolk Academy's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Collegiate's offense will have their work cut out for Collegiate.
