The Lockland Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. The contest between Lockland and Clark Montessori wasn't particularly close, with Lockland falling 37-22. Lockland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clark Montessori apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alayah Jefferson, who scored five points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Harris, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Lockland bumped their record down to 2-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Clark Montessori, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Lockland will head out on the road to square off against Cincinnati Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cincinnati Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday. As for Clark Montessori, they will be playing at home against Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
