The Eduprize Eagles can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They blew past BASIS - Scottsdale 71-29 on the road. Given Eduprize's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, BASIS - Scottsdale saw an underclassman step up: Nithish Prakash scored 12 points along with four steals. Prakash is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Aaryan Dwvedi was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Eduprize, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eduprize won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Storm at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Imagine Prep will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they will head out on the road to square off against the Heroes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.
