DADE CITY, Fla. - Leading by 31 points entering the fourth quarter didn't stop
Pasco (Dade City, Fla.) from scoring, as it added 14 points in the final quarter on the way to a 45-0 victory over Ridgewood (New Port Richey, Fla.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Brandon Ray in the first quarter, the Pirates led 17-0 at the half.
Pasco expanded its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. PHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Janarion Grant.
Grant stood out for the Dade City school in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The Pirates had given up an average of 3.9 points prior to the contest.
A 52-0 Pasco victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
In a 5A District 6 game next week Pasco (8-0) takes on Zephyrhills, and Ridgewood (1-8) will go up against Fivay also in a 5A District 6 game.
