When it comes to explaining why Providence Classical lost, one person who can't be blamed is Xan Rahalawicz. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Rahalawicz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played. Isaac Martin was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Providence Classical has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Providence Classical won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Christian Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th. Walnut Grove Christian is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Liberty Preparatory Christian will take on the Mariners at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
