The Fremont Silverwolves will face off against the Brighton Bengals at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Brighton will be up against a hot Fremont team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Silverwolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Roy on Tuesday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-6, 25-17.

Fremont can attribute much of their success to Brooklyn Smedley, who had 15 assists and six digs, and Daphnie Moyes, who had ten digs and two aces. Moyes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Addie Funk also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Fremont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Brighton had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 3-0 win.
While Brighton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-17.
Brighton's victory bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 26-2.
Fremont took their victory against Brighton in their previous meeting back in October of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Silverwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bengals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
