Basketball Recap: Lane Bybee Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Dundy County-Stratton challenged Wallace on Tuesday. The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers beat the Wallace Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 65-40. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dundy County-Stratton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lane Bybee, who went 8 for 15 en route to 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Bybee's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Latta, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

Dundy County-Stratton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.

Dundy County-Stratton's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Wallace, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Dundy County-Stratton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-37 win against Paxton on the 31st. Wallace has also already played their next contest, a 52-50 defeat against Hitchcock County on the 31st.
