The Franklin Monroe Jets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Arcanum 49-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Franklin Monroe in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.
Arcanum was led to victory by Brooke Anderson and Alexis Gibbons. Anderson scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Gibbons scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matty Noe, who scored six points along with two steals.
Franklin Monroe has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Arcanum, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Monroe will challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arcanum's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Thunderbolts at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th.
