The Hatboro-Horsham Hatters can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over Lansdale Catholic. The win was just what Hatboro-Horsham needed coming off of a 51-20 loss in their prior game.
Kenny Lutz was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ryan Smith, who scored six points along with three steals.
Hatboro-Horsham's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Lansdale Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hatboro-Horsham won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Lansdale Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Conwell-Egan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
