Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Mater Dei Monarchs walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over the Braves on the road. Considering Mater Dei has won nine matches by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The critical scores for Mater Dei came from Abduall Sanders, Jordon Davison, and Tomu Topui.
The win (which was Mater Dei's fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for St. John Bosco, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.
Mater Dei will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Serra at 8:00 p.m. on December 9th. St. John Bosco does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
