Given Tidewater Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 295th in Virginia, while Northeast Academy is ranked 612th in North Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The victory makes it two in a row for Tidewater Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Northeast Academy, the last time they won on the road was back last Wednesday. Having now lost four straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tidewater Academy will challenge The New Community School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against New Life Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
