The Centennial Coyotes will venture away from home to square off against the Canyon View Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Centennial comes in on three and Canyon View on 19.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Centennial nor Canyon del Oro made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Coyotes won by a run and slipped past the Dorados 2-1. That's two games straight that the Coyotes have won by just one run.

Xavier Escontrias made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple.
Escontrias wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Strand, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon del Oro struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Canyon View faced off against Cienega on Wednesday. The Jaguars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats an 8-0 shutout. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 games by six runs or more this season.
Canyon View also got a great performance from Landon Hood as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, Hood is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brock Berlan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Canyon View's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their record is now 23-9.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Centennial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it's not like Canyon View struggles in that department as they've averaged .380. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
