Tempe Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-13, which was the final score in Tempe Prep's tilt against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on Thursday. Tempe Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
Meanwhile, Rancho Solano Prep waltzed into Wednesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past North Valley Christian Academy 45-19. Rancho Solano Prep might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.
Rancho Solano Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nenah Brown, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. The matchup was Brown's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Zoey Pozen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Tempe Prep's defeat dropped theirs to 0-3.
Tempe Prep might still be hurting after the 48-26 loss they got from Rancho Solano Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Tempe Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
