 Meanwhile, Pacifica has not done well against Buena recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. Everything went Pacifica's way against Buena as Pacifica made off with  a  10-3 victory.
 Pacifica got a big performance out of  Kelsey Colvin, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Melissa Garcia, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Santa Barbara's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Pacifica, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
 Santa Barbara suffered a grim  16-6 defeat to Pacifica  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Can Santa Barbara avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
