The Lometa Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 66-42 loss to Johnson City might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lometa in their matchups with Johnson City: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kp Coble, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Coble set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Walker Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Lometa bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Johnson City, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lometa will be home for the holidays to greet Paint Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Johnson City, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Mason at 8:00 p.m. on December 19th. Mason comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
