Hartley is on a three-game streak of home losses, Channing a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Hartley Tigers will take on the Channing Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Hartley suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Adrian on the road and fell 70-41. Hartley has struggled against Adrian recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Emmanuel Saldivar, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jesus Quevedo, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 96-5, which was the final score in Channing's tilt against Wildorado on Friday.
Hartley has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Channing, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Hartley barely slipped by Channing when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 1-0. Will Hartley repeat their success, or does Channing have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
