Baseball Recap: Bloomfield's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bloomfield had lost four games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 5-5 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Bayfield Wolverines by a score of 10-7. Ten seems to be a good number for the Bobcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Bayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6. The loss was just more heartbreak for they who fell 5-3 when the teams previously met back in May of 2024.

For Bayfield's part, Josiah Mayfield made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavian Box, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bloomfield will head out to challenge Jemez Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bayfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Grand County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
