Baseball Recap: Lena Has No Trouble Against Peshtigo

The Lena Wildcats got the win against the Peshtigo Bulldogs on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-5. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tyler Shallow made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Shallow was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

In other batting news, Luke Koslowsky was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colt Miller, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Lena's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Peshtigo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Lena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Peshtigo, they will face off against Weyauwega-Fremont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
