Cedar Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hunter Larson out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Larson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Heath Christensen, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
When it comes to explaining why Spanish Fork lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Dunn. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Dunn has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Gage Christensen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Cedar Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Spanish Fork, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-10.
Cedar Valley will look to defend their home court on Friday against Salem Hills at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Salem Hills is ranked 63rd, while Cedar Valley is ranked 41st).
