The Columbia Central Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 25 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Blackman on Friday as Columbia Central made off with a 58-33 victory. Winning may never get old, but Columbia Central sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Saviya Morgan, who scored 26 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tionna Davis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Columbia Central pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Blackman, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Columbia Central will take on Brentwood Academy in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Brentwood Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Columbia Central is ranked 47th). Blackman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on York Institute at 4:00 p.m. on December 29th. York Institute will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
