Football Game Preview: Kennett Blue Demons vs. Chichester Eagles

Kennett is a perfect 5-0 against Chichester since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Demons will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Kennett's defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so Chichester's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Kennett will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up ten points last Friday, then bounced right back against Sun Valley on Friday. The Blue Demons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vanguards 47-7. With the Blue Demons ahead 31-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Chichester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-7 loss at the hands of Chester. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Clippers are ranked 37th).

Kennett's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for Chichester, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Kennett strolled past Chichester when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 34-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Demons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
