Shain Meador Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Mt. Carmel got the W thanks in part to Shain Meador playing the best football he has all season. Meador rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 59 yards and a touchdown on perfect 5-for-5 passing, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory got Mt. Carmel back to even at 4-4. Meador and Mt. Carmel will head out on the road to take on Lawrenceville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Gavyn Cothern Dazzles in Richland County Victory
Gavyn Cothern was instrumental in extending Richland County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Cothern was dynamite, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.
Richland County pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Cothern and Richland County will take on Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Johnson As Robinson Won 44-40
Robinson picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Reese Johnson. Johnson did his part (and then some), throwing for 136 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 50 yards for the 'W'.
If the past is any indication, Johnson could be in store for another big game when he takes on Richland County on Friday. When Johnson last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Keeping Johnson company is Blake Green, a fellow Robinson player. He picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Aj Knoblett Goes Supernova in Robinson Victory
Aj Knoblett put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 88 yards on only six carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
This year, Knoblett has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 67.1 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had three receiving touchdowns.
