Greene County Tech is 2-7 against Mountain Home since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will host the Bombers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, Greene County Tech came up short against Westside and fell 3-1. While the Golden Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-20 in the first set.
Greene County Tech started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-23.
Mountain Home had taken Paragould down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Bombers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2. While the Bombers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 25-16 in the first set.
Mountain Home wouldn't go down easily and took Paragould into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 15-11.
Mountain Home's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Greene County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Greene County Tech skirted past Mountain Home 3-2 in their previous meeting on September 2nd. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
