The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vienna/Goreville, who defeated 446th ranked Sesser-Valier/Waltonville/Woodlawn, 41-15.
Carmi-White County was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fifth in Black Diamond. The Bulldogs defeated Hamilton County 55-13 earlier in the week.
Fairfield's dynamic duo of Joseph Rodgers and Anthony Thomas proved tough for Eldorado to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rodgers threw for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns and Thomas had 72 yards receiving.
Joel Clendenin was a passing and rushing force as Chester bested Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton. Clendenin's favorite target this week was Caleb Golding, who caught 3 passes for 38 yards.
Chester's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Yellowjackets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jake Lochhead has thrown for 542 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Brad Asselmeier has 7 catches for 192 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Johnston City takes on the Eagles. As it stands, the Indians are in seventh, while Eldorado is in first.
The Bearcats moved up to 495 from 532 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton climbed the ranks as a result of losing to the Yellowjackets 40-20.
