Baseball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Has No Trouble Against IDEA Judson College Prep

Founders Classical Academy won the last time they faced IDEA Judson College Prep and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hoplites put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 21-3 win. The Hoplites might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Luke McCaw made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Sam Syverson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Swinney, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Founders Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.

Founders Classical Academy's record now sits at 8-2-1. As for IDEA Judson College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

As of now, neither Founders Classical Academy nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
