Jeff Davis lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Malachi Smith, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was J.j Benjamin, who scored nine points.
Jeff Davis' defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-13. As for Wheeler County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Jeff Davis won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Berrien at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Berrien has now lost 15 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21. As for Wheeler County, they will head out on the road to face off against Telfair County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
