On Saturday, Beaumont was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to Folsom. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beaumont has scored all season.
Beaumont lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Payton Joseph, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Joseph hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Vince tracy Capuras, who scored 18 points.
Beaumont's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Folsom, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Beaumont and Yucaipa will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Yucaipa is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Folsom, they will head out on the road to face off against Granite Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
