First Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gainesville Christian Community 53-10 at home. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
It was another big night for Reagan Davis, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. It was the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Sweat, who scored two points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 45-6, which was the final score in Hope Christian Academy's tilt against Open Bible Christian on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hope Christian Academy has scored all season.
First Christian's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Hope Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
First Christian strolled past Hope Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 42-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
