The result was an unpleasant reminder to Heritage Hall Christian of the 52-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Clayton Gannon had a dynamite game for Colonial Christian, scoring 17 points along with six assists and five steals. Gannon is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Jared Ferguson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Heritage Hall Christian dropped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Colonial Christian, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-12.
Heritage Hall Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-10 defeat vs. Mooresville Christian on the 9th. Colonial Christian will head out on the road to square off against Suburban Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Colonial Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
