The Calaveras Red Hawks's 25-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 57-42 to Pitman.
Defeat or not, Calaveras got some senior leadership from Corbin Curran who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds and Mason Moser who scored 11 points. Curran scored a full 28.6% of Calaveras' points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Earl Wood was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Calaveras now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Pitman, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Calaveras will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Big Valley Christian at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Averaging 83.4 so far this season, Big Valley Christian's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Calaveras better be ready for a challenge. As for Pitman, they will head out on the road to face off against Antioch at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Antioch is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
