Last Thursday, Sandy Valley came up short against the Panthers and fell 55-44. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sandy Valley has scored all season.
Despite their loss, Sandy Valley saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Damion Turner, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher LeClair, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Word of Life Christian Academy had to settle for a 43-40 defeat against the Diamondback on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Word of Life Christian Academy has suffered against the Diamondback since February 6, 2018.
Sandy Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2. As for Word of Life Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
