Hubbard has gone a perfect 3-0 against East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against East at 5:00 p.m. Hubbard will be strutting in after a win while East will be coming in after a defeat.
Hubbard took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakeview, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Bulldogs since May 5, 2023.
Meanwhile, East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Western Reserve, falling 24-1.
Jamir Allison put in work no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Allison was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, East got a massive performance out of Player #5, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Player #44 was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with five runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Hubbard's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Hubbard came out on top in a nail-biter against East in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
