Swett is 0-6 against St. Patrick-St. Vincent since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
If Swett beats St. Patrick-St. Vincent with 16 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Warriors beat Mt. Diablo last Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-3. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.

Rebekah Millan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Swett let Sanaia Tuuu and Camryn Christian run wild. Tuuu went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Christian scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Christian has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mykele Boyd, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Swett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, St. Patrick-St. Vincent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hercules. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked the Bruins' highest-scoring contest to date.
Christina Thomsen and Aiani Prater stepped up to the plate in a big way. Thomsen scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5, while Prater scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Thomsen also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Jaquelyn Benito was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Swett and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
St. Patrick-St. Vincent's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Swett has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .536. It's a different story for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, though, as they've only averaged .335. Will they be able to contain Swett's hitters?
Swett suffered a grim 18-12 defeat to St. Patrick-St. Vincent in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
