Lexington extended their postseason success on Saturday against East Bernard. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over the Brahmas. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  victory being a  3-1  win  on Friday.

 Taylor Akin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Aubrie Mathews was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Teal Brockenbush, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI.
 Lexington  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in three consecutive  matches.
Lexington has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8-2 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for East Bernard,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 26-10.
As of now, neither Lexington nor the Brahmas have any future games scheduled.
