Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, McCool Junction couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost to the Johnson-Brock Eagles on the road by a 53-36 margin on Friday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Carson Mcdonald and Mapieu Kouchinin certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Mcdonald posted nine points and six rebounds, while Kouchinin earned 13 points. Mcdonald has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryson Plock, who scored six points.

Brody Koehler was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards for Johnson-Brock. Camden Dalinghaus was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven rebounds.

McCool Junction's loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Johnson-Brock, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-1.
