The Oakwood Comets's three-game losing streak  came to an end  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Westville as Oakwood made off with a  44-24 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory Oakwood has posted  against Westville since February 10, 2020.
  Nikita Taylor went supernova for Oakwood,  dropping  a double-double on 21 points and 18  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Taylor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Jaydah Arrowsmith, who  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and 13  rebounds.
 Despite the loss, Westville still got an impressive performance from   Lani Gondzur, who  scored 18 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals. That's the first time this season that  Gondzur  scored 15 or more  points.
 Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Westville, they are  on a 14-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-18.
 Oakwood will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against Armstrong at 5:00  p.m.  on January 19th. Armstrong and Oakwood are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Westville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Watseka at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
