After losing to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley the last time they met, Deer Creek-Mackinaw decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chiefs came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday.

Deer Creek-Mackinaw's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chuck Hathaway, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Deer Creek-Mackinaw has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
