The Holden Rockets can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They skirted past Springfield 54-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Holden has posted yet this season.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Husser, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Rowen Harris, who scored 16 points.
Holden's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Springfield, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 7-13.
Holden will look to defend their home court on Friday against Slaughter Community Charter at 7:00 p.m. As for Springfield, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
