Even though the Front Range Baptist Falcons have not done well against the Briggsdale Falcons recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Front Range Baptist was the clear victor by a 64-41 margin over Briggsdale. The win made it back-to-back wins for Front Range Baptist.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Front Range Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stephen Manthei, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin VanDenBerghe, who scored 7 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
Front Range Baptist's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Briggsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist will challenge Denver Academy of Torah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briggsdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Arickaree at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
