Hooker has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Hugoton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hooker can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 75-37 victory over Liberal. Given Hooker's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 28th in Oklahoma, while the Redskins are ranked 194th in Kansas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hugoton didn't have too much trouble with the Longhorns at home on Tuesday as they won 70-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hugoton.
Hooker's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Hugoton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
Hooker came up short against the Eagles when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 64-60. Can Hooker avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
