The Davenport Broncos will challenge the Fort Meade Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Davenport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Davenport fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Osceola on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Kowboys by a score of 8-7. The Broncos have struggled against the Kowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jordyn Duran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she stole this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Meade hadn't done well against Hardee recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fort Meade put the hurt on Hardee with a sharp 18-2 win. That looming 18-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Miners yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Makayla Deleon, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Deleon is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stole at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Kenya Faulk, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Fort Meade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Fort Meade's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Davenport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Davenport has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fort Meade struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
