After flying high against the Fulton Leadership Academy Gryphons last Tuesday, the Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors came back down to earth. Southwest Atlanta Christian fell 52-43 to Brookstone on Saturday.
Southwest Atlanta Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Talyn Harris, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Burleson, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Southwest Atlanta Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Brookstone, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Southwest Atlanta Christian will be playing at home against Bowdon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowdon is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Brookstone, they will head out on the road to challenge Strong Rock Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Strong Rock Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brookstone in Georgia (Strong Rock Christian is ranked 120th, while Brookstone is ranked 319th).
