The Denver West Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 28 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 50-22 win over DSST: Green Valley Ranch. 50 seems to be a good number for Denver West as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jenny Ruano was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. Ruano is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Celeste Marquez, who scored 12 points.
The victory was the third in a row for Denver West, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Denver West won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. DSST: Green Valley Ranch will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
