The Pendleton County Wildcats will face off against the Ludlow Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Pendleton County came out on top against Robertson County on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run fifth inning. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Black Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Kevin Miles was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Miles was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Pendleton County got a massive performance out of Carter Glahn, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The Wildcats are undefeated when Glahn posts two or more runs, but 4-8-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Micah Biddle, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Pendleton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ludlow, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Dayton with a sharp 17-1 win on Monday. Considering the Panthers have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Parker Trenkamp made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Deakon Reed was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Miller Reed was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Ludlow's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Pendleton County, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.
