Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Indian River Indians, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a rough 28-7 loss at the hands of the Hornets on Saturday. Indian River's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Dylan Grise threw for 110 yards and a touchdown. Darnell Stokes was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards. On the ground, Davon Handy rushed for 46 yards.
Rahshan Lamons continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tatnall, rushing for 184 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 54 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. Lamons' longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.
Indian River's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Tatnall, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Indian River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tatnall will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilmington Charter at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wilmington Charter's defense has only allowed 10.6 points per game this season, so Tatnall's offense will have their work cut out for Tatnall.
